Episode 28: The Revived Beasts
Team Gai fight goes on as they fight their shinobi clones. Neji explains to each member of the team that they are systematically growing more and more weak as the fight drags on. Their clones being non-human remain as strong as they were when they were formed. Lee, who refuses to accept defeat, realizes that the only way for them to defeat their clones is to become stronger than they were when they first started fighting. After a flashback about their training sessions, they all remember their training motto: “Stronger than I was yesterday.” The memory gives them the strength needed to overpower and defeat their clones.
